Ground Water Intrusion
The ground water from the storm made its way into this home, and the carpet and pad was completely saturated and became delaminated. The standing water was quickly extracted by our SERVPRO technicians to preserve the walls, though not the baseboards. Little damaged occurred to the drywall because the water had little time to wick upward because of our quick extraction. Air movers and dehumidifiers were set up in the affected area and ran for several days to achieve an RH, relative humidity of about 15%. The standard procedure of dispersing chemical agents for sanitizing, deodorizing and disinfecting came next
